PLAYROOM FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

The idea of a big sofa in the playroom made the most sense for me even though the clients weren't so sure since it was a small space. But I think it was definitely the right move. I for one like to be able to lounge a nice comfy sofa while playing with my kids. ;) Plus, it's a great spot for reading and napping.

The before:

BOYS ROOM UPDATES

Adding in some blue accents to give this boys room some color and layers of interest. Accent walls, fun light fixture, window shades, rug and a few wall pieces. In other words, we were working with the 2 existing pieces..bed and bedside table. :)

Creating a cool wall shelf for these boys. The hardest part was probably planning the measurements and drilling the holes, but the rest was just like a puzzle...and then assemble and bolt.

KIDS ART SPACE

This is probably the cleanest this art table has ever been...and will be (as the kids will be come home soon). We made our breakfast nook into an art space. This way they can make their mess while I make mine.

A KID'S HANG OUT

I have a client who has an empty room that needs a little love. She already has an office, a guest room and a play space. She has two girls, 4 and 7, and thought a kid's reading den/hang out space would be a fun idea. This spare room is upstairs along with all the other bedrooms, so it would be a good place for them to wind down before bed, play quiet games or just relax. Here are the 2 concepts - both are playful yet transitional, one funkier than the other.  I will keep you posted on the room's progress.
