SUNDAY LOVE

In our house, Sundays are reserved for relaxing and enjoying time with our family and our close friends. Today, it's just us, which means a morning of coffee, magazines and fresh yummies, an afternoon of play doh, hide-n-seek and pizza, and an evening of games, cooking and a movie. Happy Sunday, everyone!

MY PICKS FOR PENDANTS

I'm on the hunt for the perfect hallway light. It's for a client. She's looking for something that's traditional, yet modern with gold or brass finish. The light is for an upstairs hallway...there's room for it to hang into the entry staircase. So, I think a pendant would be nice. Here's what I've found so far...I think it's a pretty nice selection. The drums may be a little big, but would make a nice statement piece.

ART OF AN ART WALL

Artwork can really make a room, but creating gallery wall is an art in of itself. It's a balance between variety, uniformity and flow. I love a collector's styled wall, where the pieces feel like they have been added over time and together they tell a little story. But I tend to be drawn to ones that have a structured layout (i.e., a straight baseline). I'm a little nutty when it comes to alignment.

IT'S A GREEN AND LILAC THING

I've noticed a little theme with my recent pins. It's the fresh, vibrant green and soft lilac that's catching my eye.  I've always loved emerald green in fashion, but never considered it for interiors. Now, I'm determined to incorporate a little green into our home. Maybe it's a case of cabin fever and my yearn for spring. 6 more weeks of winter according to Punxsutawney Phil. Let's hope it goes by fast.
